Jane LeCompte fell in love with stories at a very early age, and soon discovered a longing to create her own. Her writing focuses on women negotiating the pitfalls of culture, and on how ancient mythic patterns manifest in our lives. Her novel Moon Passage was praised by reviewers across the United States.
     A student of shamanism, she has been learning from/ journeying with the drum for more than twenty years. For the past five years she has been on the governing council of the Women’s Well, a nonprofit organization that invites women to sit in circle together and discover their own true voices, powers, missions (www.womenswell.org).
     Jane has also written genre fiction, taught literature and writing, and headed a corporate communications department. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is currently working on a mystery novel with a woman protagonist.
